REPLACEMENT DOORS AT A GLANCE
We should stress that it’s not just front doors that we specialise in, as we also supply back doors, French doors, sliding patio doors and bi-folding doors in a similarly eclectic choice of colours, materials and styles. Whichever door you need to replace, we’re here to help. Each door from TWC is designed with security at the fore, with the advanced locking mechanism offering confirmation of this fact. The colour options for our replacement door designs are wonderfully varied meaning you can perfectly tailor your replacement door to your home.
COMPOSITE DOORS
For brute strength, a composite door takes some beating. You don’t get traditional timber doors with such toughness, and our composite doors are timber-like.
ALUMINIUM DOORS
If it’s a sleek, modern front or rear door that you want, an aluminium door will tick the relevant boxes for your home in Swindon, Oxford or beyond.
UPVC DOORS
No home or entrance is ever the same, so TWC will always customise its UPVC doors for each of its customers, including you.
STABLE DOORS
The practicality of a stable door is useful for family homes with young children in them as it can help keep them safe inside.
PATIO DOORS
It won’t take long for you to identify the usefulness of a patio door once it has been added to your property.
BI-FOLDING DOORS
In this era, a bi-folding door is the door to have at home. The way it folds when it opens is like observing poetry in motion.
FRENCH DOORS
The inclination to switch between the indoors and outdoors more regularly will be instigated by the installation of new French doors.
TRIPLE TRACK DOORS
Offering an amazingly slender frame, our triple track patio doors will provide the perfect garden opening.
ENTRANCE PORCH
Give your entrance more of a commanding presence with one of our magnificent porches. It will also inject space into the house.

LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR REPLACEMENT DOORS
If you’re ready to replace your door, then it’s expected you’ll have some questions. We’ve answered some of our most common door questions below to help you decide on the perfect door for your home. Whether you want a replacement front door or to enhance your home with one of our feature glass doors, our team are happy to help and offer advice.
How secure are doors from TWC?
TWC’s doors are uncompromising and tough to say the least.
Strengthening door security is the route to creating a safer home as your front and rear doors are two of the first places that a burglar may attempt to force their way past in order to enter your dwelling.
Burglars have little chance of getting the better of TWC’s resolute replacement door designs as we build them all using the most durable materials and incorporate various secure components, including a multi-point lock. They will be left with their head in their hands when they realise that their full repertoire of sneaky tactics fails to get them access.
The Police have endorsed many of the doors we sell, bestowing them with the Secured by Design (SBD) accreditation to highlight just how effective they are at securing properties.
What information should I bring to my door appointment?
Door measurements are always a useful source of information for our door design experts.
Tell us as much about your home as you possibly can at your design appointment, and a really helpful thing is to provide measurements of your door sizes. Then, we can get our heads around what the replacement door project will entail and supply a more accurate quotation.
We can talk you through how to measure them if you’re unsure how it’s done and it’s simple enough, only taking a few minutes.
In the interim, rough door measurements are fine as a member of the TWC team will come out prior to the installation to measure them properly ahead of the new window replacements being manufactured and fitted.
How can I customise my new door?
Make any TWC door your own with some customisation.
TWC is more than happy to let you elevate and personalise your chosen door design with our many glass styles, hardware components, and enduring finishes.
Colour is one of the best forms of expression, so select a shade that’s reflective of your character – a cheerfully bright finish would be highly appropriate if you’re the playful type. We do have muted shades though should you prefer a door that’s slightly more unassuming, but no less impactful. Frame the design with decorative side panels and let the glazed sections bring more light indoors.
Other distinctive touches for TWC’s market-leading doors include a host of elaborate door knockers and handles and showy number plates to transform them into overwhelmingly stylish centrepieces.
Can you replace a door without replacing the frame?
Don’t stop at just replacing your door – update the old frame too.
From time to time, a customer will ask our team if we can proceed with a door replacement without also replacing the existing frame. A physical inspection of the frame must be undertaken for us to determine this.
The slightest indication of any irreparable warping or corrosion would lead us to strongly recommend that a new frame is installed in conjunction with the integration of a new door.
You also want the new door and door frame to supplement each other – any clash in appearance will do your entrance no favours. Bought and installed together at the same time assures you of a perfect door symmetry.
What is the difference between a UPVC door and a composite door?
UPVC and composite doors are separated by their looks and features.
Front-on and side-on views of UPVC doors and composite doors underline just how different they are from one another.
Composite doors have a thicker frame due to the wealth of materials used in their construction, all carefully compressed together – foam, wood, UPVC, and GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic). Plastic is the sole material used to build a UPVC door design, giving it a depth of roughly 28mm, while a composite door is around 44mm thick.
How composite doors are processed makes them the more expensive of the two solutions, but don’t be put off paying a higher price if you covet outstanding energy efficiency, strength, and stylishness. Similarly, don’t mistake the inexpensiveness of UPVC doors for inferior quality – they offer quite the opposite of that.
What door will suit my house type?
How to uncover the perfect form of door for your house type
Your front door has a pivotal role in not just securing your home and keeping it thermally regulated, but also setting much of its overall tone.
A UPVC door is exceptionally well-priced for what you get, which is an immensely durable and hard-wearing solution that can resist all that the British weather has to throw at it. Widely thought of as being most suited to modern homes and new builds, UPVC doors will suit almost any house type, except for certain period residences.
Composite doors are the mid-range cost option and a fantastic all-round performer, constructed using multiple tough materials. Produced in a myriad of engaging designs, a composite door will beautifully harmonise with traditional and modern properties, explaining their widespread popularity.
The powder-coated finish on an aluminium door distinguishes it from the alternate door options, as does its sleeker composition. A premium choice, an aluminium door’s slim profile allows for larger areas of glazing, and it works very agreeably with contemporary abodes.
