Look Out For These Home Interior Design Trends In 2023

At the beginning of a New Year, it’s always interesting to find out what home interior design trends will be all the rage over the coming months.

They will be of great interest to you if you have made a promise to yourself to revamp your property in 2023 as they could influence your home makeover project.

So that you don’t have to go to the effort of uncovering “what are the design trends for 2023?”, TWC Home Improvements has done the necessary research for you.

Why not let these three trends be the driving force behind any impending redesign.

Wild Wonder™ – Dulux Colour of the Year

Prior to the end of 2022, Dulux informed the world that their ‘Colour of the Year’ for 2023 would be the delicate green colour, ‘Wild Wonder™’, which they say has been “inspired by the natural world”.

Nature is threatened in so many parts of the globe and to keep people conscious of this when within their indoor spaces, they opted for Wild Wonder’s™ nature-inspired overtone.

A soft shade, full of warmth, Wild Wonder™ is usable in any room, but regarded as best employed in bedrooms, kitchens and home offices.

Misshapen rugs

A new floor covering could be all that’s required to give certain rooms a lift, and it will be rugs in geometric, curved and angular shapes that rule the roost, rather than your standard rectangular, circular and square-shaped rugs.

Just watch the reaction of people when they spot a quirky rug in your conservatory design – it will get them talking, that’s for sure.

They will love your free-spirited attitude to decorating your space.

Social spaces return

Government restrictions during Covid included a limit on the number of visitors we could have in our homes, but that’s gone now and it’s put large home gatherings firmly back on the agenda.

Kitchens make for an excellent social setting when they have an open-plan design with an island and breakfast bar for guests to gather together and you to chat with them as you cook.

Later on, you can move things into your conservatory, orangery or home extension if it’s heated enough, elegantly styled and there’s good lighting you can turn on for the nighttime.
