U-Value - A U-value measures internal heat loss. The lower the U-value, the better insulation provided by the glass.

Solar Heat Reflection - This represents how much solar energy generated by the sun is stopped from passing through the glass into a room.

Light Transmission - This represents how much light manages to force its way through the glass.

Clear glass is used a lot for North facing conservatories which benefit from having plenty external light and warmth coming in.

It can achieve a 1.0 W/m²K u-value and retain internal warmth to create a comfortable room temperature.

When it comes to solar heat reflection, blue glass is on a par with aqua and bronze tinted glass at 62% and it offers an average amount of light transmission, making it a great all-round performer.
