Classic Gable Conservatory with Ultraroof

A slight modification of this Gable style conservatory has restored the energy efficiency it previously supplied to its occupants.

There are so many different talking points to speak about when you set eyes on this Gable conservatory. The Georgian bars are a definite highlight and the guttering is immaculately detailed and fitted. But it’s the Ultraroof that’s arguably its most impressive feature, a replacement conservatory roofing system like no other. Rather that solely consisting of lightweight tiles / slates, it possesses a pair of rectangular glazed sections and they’re responsible for driving in the light of the sun. When the sun goes in, there’s always the option of turning on the dashing downlighters in the perimeter portion of the ceiling.

The house was pretty big prior to the conservatory installation, but the space offered by the extension has been fully utilised, though there still remains a good volume of available floor space. Family meals in the conservatory have become a regular thing and the same goes for escaping towards the outdoors via the French doors. They provide a very generous double opening and when opened help to ventilate the conservatory’s interior, just like the top opening windows do. The Ultraroof definitely steals the show though and is making a massive difference to the family’s extended lifestyle thanks to its outstanding thermal performance.
